Question by lolpox: How should I handle my friend’s oxycontin relapses?
(I apologize in advance for the long post)

My roomate is not just someone I live with, he and I have grown up together, hung out since grade school, and he is my fraternity brother, so this situation has been weighing on me for awhile. I believe he began having a problem with oxycontin at the start of this semester, though I am not sure because he has always been a naturally private guy and good at hiding when he is high. We had always experimented with various drugs together, so I thought nothing of it when I’d see him pick up the occasional pill.

Hi there, so I’m a grade 10 english student and for our summative project at school we have to make a movie based on Macbeth (Basic plot but changing many things) using any genre. Me and my group decided to be a little original and go with the idea of making a 40′s style Film Noir.

Question by Amanda: How should I tell my friend that I know she’s lying?
She puts pictures on Facebook of boys and girls kissing, and she says that it’s her and her boyfriend. The girls in the pictures KIND of look like her, but barely. She puts as captions stuff like “I look so short in this picture” and “man my skin is light here”, but I know that it’s obviously not her, and I’m sure everyone else does.
I’m not really looking to be nice about it either, I just want a cunning way to say “I know you’re lying, you lame-o” but I don’t want to say it like that. How should I say it?

* The deadline for amendments to the Kennedy bill is MONDAY
* A notice has been sent out that mark-up will begin TUESDAY
* Sen,. Coburn says they still don’t even have the language on
* 3 sections of the bill.
* And of course, it hasn’t been scored.

Senate Democrats plan to rush Senator Ted Kennedy’s “Affordable Health Choices Act” to passage next week. The bill is missing language (eg. public health insurance option) and hasn’t even being scored for cost! It doesn’t even have a bill number yet. It needs to be DELAYED.

WASHINGTON – Two House members introduced a bill Thursday that would remove marijuana from the list of federal controlled substances and cede to the states enforcement of laws governing pot.

The legislation would eliminate marijuana-specific penalties under federal law, but would maintain a ban on transporting marijuana across state lines. It would allow individuals to grow and sell marijuana in states that make it legal.

The bill has no chance of passing the Republican-controlled House.

Question by Lee: I am an AA heretic looking for deprogramming, where should I go/what should I do?
I told many of my AA “friends” as well as my sponsor that I have decided to leave the “program” as I find it ineffective and cult-like. For the past two months I have lived exactly the opposite lifestyle that AA teaches (minus the drinking, but alcohol was never my problem, I was a drug addict, there was just no NA in my area). As such, I have been labeled as something of a heretic. Everyone in the recovery community views me as incredibly stupid and dangerous. I dont care. Theyre all bat shit crazy the way I see it. Anyway, I want to get all of this AA nonsense out of my head, and though I dont want to drugs, I would like to “socially” drink, and I have confidence that I can learn to do this. Were should I go or what should I do to deprogram myself from all this ridiculousness and learn to drink responsibly? To people who believe in AA, please refrain from offering one of your mindless slogans or any “God given wisdom” you think you may have. You zealots are 10 times crazier and more “dangerous” than I am.

Ok, so I got into porn about last year and it’s become sort of addictive. I am a teenage boy so maybe hormones has got to do with that too, but anyway, it got to be boring after a while, and I had to look at weirder or more “taboo” porn to get that same feeling as when I started looking at porn. That sort of rush feeling when you know you are doing something wrong but you can’t help NOT doing it. So I saw some tags for “incest porn,” which I knew was fake of course, but I couldn’t stop watching it, and soon I needed that to get super excited, even though I DO NOT have any incest feelings towards any of my relatives. But I noticed that I felt miserable after watching that type of porn, but it was such a weird turn-on, and I felt guilty and would get bursts of anger sometimes, which I’m sure is normal with teenagers, but it’s like it made it 2x worse. I would also suffer through depression at times, whether this has to do with it or not I’m not too sure, but it probably contributed to it. I’ve always had a milf type fetish, you know the kinda thing where you wish you had a hot teacher or hot nurse, but the incest porn was exciting because it sort of grasped that idea, but made it even more taboo and forbidden, and I think that’s why it excited me. I know porn is wrong, but is this “craving” for it normal, has porn just corrupted me to the point of no return, do I still have a chance, is this not a bid deal or not, or do I just need to stop…any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I really care about my cousins, one is 14 the other is 3.The 14 year old feels a great amount of hate for his mother who has been in a “drug rehab” program for 3 years.I dont know how true this is about the rehab thing but its what my family says.She wants to visit them since their father has passed away only a week ago.The 3 year old loves his mother dearly and hopes to live with her one day.I am afriad that when she visits the 3 year he will want to go back with her,and this may cause more stress in his life.Should I tell her that she can not visit? 3 year old is having trouble sleeping,eating,and playing with other,kids,and is now getting help.I dont want this to make her visit with him have a more negative affect than his father’s death.
