Can you find a single person who hasn’t heard of opium? Literally there is not a single such person who has not heard of Opium, its use and effects. Now, its derivative opiate is used to make painkillers. Opiates are not as strong as the original opium, but its effects are quiet similar to that of opium. It affects a certain region of human brain which controls the feeling of pleasure.

Determining whether addiction treatment is needed for an addict can be a difficult decision. However, the decision-making process should include the well being of the addict in your life. While you want them to be well once more, it’s important that you organize an intervention with their loved ones to explain this to them. While many addicts do not react well to this setting, being the bad guy isn’t always a bad thing.
