Why Is Marijuana Illegal and Alcohol Is Not?
Question by Alan Garner: Why is marijuana illegal and alcohol is not?
Alcohol is responsible for 75,000 deaths a year in the United States, mostly from traffic collisions. Thousands of these deaths are from alcohol poisoning (overdosing on alcohol).
There have been no reports of death induced by marijuana. It is impossible to overdose on marijuana, studies have shown there is no link between cancer and smoking marijuana. Marijuana is organic, it has no added chemicals like in cigarettes. Although, some studies predict it does shorten life spans, just like alcohol.
so, what are your thoughts? Do you think marijuana should be legal?
louis, the same argument can be made with alcohol……..
