Is It Considered Malpractice if a Dr Ignores the Signs of on Overdose?

Question by red_head1950: Is it considered malpractice if a Dr ignores the signs of on overdose?
I asked the Dr to not give mom Iv promethazine and fentynal via a picc line. She was having seizure type actions when they administered these meds together. She wa paralized on the left side and stayed in the hospital for a month for a urinary infection. We went to the dr. for a stomach ache. This thing turned into a nightmare and mom can’t accept what has happened, to paralize her left side, without an explanation. The Dr. Yelled at me in my mothers room. Is this a violation of her rights as a patient?
