Question by Outofdirection: How long will I have to deal with withdrawal symptoms from vicodin addiction?
I have been addicted to vicodin for about 5 years. I decided it was time to quit 2 days ago since then I have taken half a pill 24 hrs ago and thats it. Im feeling pretty bad but im determined to do this. I know a lot of people say to taper your use down slowly. Ive tried that many times dont work for me. Just when I think Im feeling better here comes another round of misery. Anybody know how long this will last I was taking 5-10 pills 500mg a day for 5 years. Any suggetions to help ease the misery. Yes I know I should seek a Dr etc. etc. but a dr got me in this mess. Thanks for anything info you can give to help me

If you can get past shakes and sweats and everything the hard part is around 2 weeks after that you should be ok but you never can go back or you will be hooked.
