Saint Mary’s Home for boys

This is a residential and day treatment center for boys. It wasn’t always a treatment center. From what I heard, in 1889 a couple of nuns founded ST Marys as an orphanage for abandoned and wayward children. it wasn’t until around 1969 when it became a treatment center.
The current lot dates back to the late 90s and early 2000s when they did a huge transformation and modernization with a grant they received from the state of Oregon. The left center building was around half the size and featured the kitchen and rooms where the children sleeped it was expanded and is now the school with the day treatment program using the basement.
The admin office, (bottom right) the cottages (right) kitchen (center) and the "chapel" (gray roof, left center) were all added during the late 90s/early 2000s "remodel" The building thats on the left bottom portion is the oldest building on the lot, minus the "arts and crafts" building that sits behind the school. This was I guess the main cottage and admin office. They now have three buildings for the kids and its all based on age, maturity level etc.
In 2001, Seattle, Washington had an earthquake. We felt it down here, and apparently, even though its hundreds of miles away the quake did damage to the old Gym. They tore it down since it was not safe. Bill Gates and his wife donated money to build a new gym along with a brand new indoor swimming pool. (they had an old one, but it was outdoor). The new gym is nice. So nice that they made us wear special shoes donated by Nike (whos HQ is right behind the woods, behind ST marys)
There was another building that got leveled during that quake. Unsure what it was, but back in 2006 it still had the brick and walls all over the place.
The oldest building on the lot. From what I remember in 2006, this became a 4th cottage for "independent" living. The kids still live at ST Marys, but live a bit more independently. Get to eat meals in their rooms, get to go out on outings, etc
There is even a few old play structures. A teir a totter and even those spinning things where you get on and someone spins you around. They date back at least 50 + years.
Now how do I know all of this? Well around 7-8 years ago I had some emotional and anger issues that needed to be addressed, so I got to stay at home, but was placed in the day treatment program, where I spend a typical school day here. I had counseling as well as group sessions and typical school work. I graduated from St Marys in 2006. They helped me a lot.
The director recently left last year. I guess from what I read in the paper she actually founded the treatment center and worked real hard to get it to the way it is today. Most of how the lot is designed was based on her ideas
