Can a Sex Offender Be “treated”?

Question by jayne: Can a sex offender be “treated”?
I have custody of my niece and nephew. Today we had a permanency planning meeting at CPS. The plan is “Reunification with parent upon completion of sex offender and dug/alcohol treatment”. This scares me to death! The kids are 3 and 6 and I do not want them placed with their sex offender father even if he does have “treatment”. Should a sex offender EVER be trusted with young children?

No. Those kids will be in danger every minute they are with this “treated” addict sicko. The failure rate for rehab treatment ALONE is disturbing. Poor kids.
