Joe Freeman Coliseum Grounds. This was an amazing show. Jeff’ Corgans’s buddy Hank (Purpleman!) was in from Hawaii and we drank beer and played frisbee until The Beach Boys came on. During the encore I remember saying to Mike Goos that the extra dude on the stage looks exactly like James Honeyman-Scott from the Pretenders. Sure enough, it was! He was dating a chick from Austin and they were down for the show. The sad part is that he died almost a month to the day later on June 16th of a cocaine overdose. I never saw the Pretenders but at least I got to see James Honeyman-Scott.
