Interesting Platforms?

I compete in outstanding teen pageants. Currently, my platform is “animal abuse prevention”. Is there any other unique platforms you could think of? I want to change it into something thats really unique. Animal abuse is something thats really a big part of me, i volunteer at shelters & stuff… and I will continue to. But I want something to make me stand out, so the judges and people remember me. I just need some good ideas. Thank you!

I’m not really familiar with teen pageants and the format, but I’m assuming by “platform” you’re talking about issues you raise that you are supposedly passionate and interested in, hence your previous platform of animal rights. If that’s the case though, doesn’t coming here and asking for issues to raise suggest that you’re not that passionate about them? If it’s about being passionate and interested in something, then surely you should find something you’re passionate and interested in rather than just having someone else suggest it for you?

Maybe your platform could be “stroppy people on the internet who don’t think I’m trying hard enough”.

But while we’re here, modern day contentious issues that you could pretend to care about:-

the environment
religious extremism
war
modern day slavery (think someone else has suggested this, and it’s a good idea)
child poverty
infant mortality rates in the third world
global economics vs. local/regional autonomy
