Question by park bom unnieeee: Did korean schools teach drug awareness during the 70’s and 80’s?
A lot of my relatives smoke, and I think a part of the reason they do is because they don’t know how much it affects their health.

Please answer, it would really help me with my informal essay. 🙂

In the past, Koreans were not taught the dangers and consequences of cigarette smoking. Cigarette consumption and advertisement rose dramatically in the 80’s. Korea is one of the worlds largest cigarette market in the world to this day.
