Question by Patsfan34: I need help. My friend is a drug addict.?
He just went into a rehab for 30 days and was doing great for 30 more…then he went on a binger and lost everything in a matter of a 48 hour period. He has no place to live and is staying with bad friends and in his car and it’s cold at night.

I know he really wants to stay clean and he is putting himself in another longer term inpatient program…he falls down and keeps getting up and trying and i see his amazing struggle….how can i help this guy?

Be there for him if he needs a place to crash or an ear to hear his thoughts. Support his rehab efforts and understand that addiction is a hard thing to overcome. Make sure he knows that you believe he can succeed and that you know he is trying his best.
