ok so heres the deal
apparently theres legislation that either allows or requires depending on the jurisdiction that students participating in extracurriculars or even just the general student population can be subjected to random mandatory drug testing
should students be able to refuse such testing on the basis of invasion of privacy and lack of any other evidence of drug abuse in the student?

I think not. A student, or anyone for that matter, is a danger to others while under the influence of an illegal sudstance.
