Violence/Abuse Question?

Question by C. L. Richardson: Violence/Abuse Question?
In the US, is it considered domestic violence or abuse if a husband does not physically harm his wife, but he takes out his anger on things in their home just to make a point? (Like smashing glass or putting holes in the wall right in front of her?) Also if they are arguing in a car and he’s the driver, if he begins to speed drastically and make dangerous moves on the road in order to scare his wife into submission, is this considered abuse? How might the police handle these situations?

(This question isn’t personal, it has to do with a project I’m working on. Thanks!)

Yes it is very much abuse. Pick up a pamphlet from S.A.F.E. and read what all is considered to be domestic violence. You will really be surprised. I know I was. I thought when my husband was abusing me it was just physical or name-calling, boy was I seriously mistaken. Try finding their website for your research.
