Can Someone Proof Read This for Me?
Question by Haley: Can someone proof read this for me?
Although bad habits may be viewed as quirks that make us unique, the effects of bad habits are generally negative. When bad habits overtake your life, your relationships suffer. For example, procrastination (a common bad habit) can ruin a work relationship or even result in job loss. Not only professional, but also personal relationships are destroyed by bad habits like jealousy and nagging. Even your relationship with God can weaken if you let a bad habit take your focus away from Him. Another aspect of your life that bad habits affect is your wallet. Smoking, drinking, drug abuse, and gambling are some of the most expensive bad habits of today. Besides costing you a fortune, bad habits can also ruin your health. The common bad habit of not flossing can affect your dental health, while more serious problems such as, obesity or diabetes, are caused by bad eating habits. Smoking, drinking and drug abuse are dangerous habits that can potentially lead to death. While bad habits may sometimes seem like unique quirks, in reality, they are severely hazardous.
I think I forgot how to punctuate correctly, so I’m sure there are a ton of mechanical errors. Help, please and thanks!

The punctuation is perfect, but you should probably cut out some of the “bad habit”s because it gets very repetitive. You could replace them by “these” or “they” (depending on the situation), for example. E.g. “Besides costing you a fortune, they can also ruin your health.” Also your last sentence should be “Whilst bad habits…” instead of “While bad habits”. 🙂
