What Happens if I Take Oxycontin Before Surgery?

Question by raven_moon_willow: what happens if i take oxycontin before surgery?
i had some oxycontin tonight for a pain disorder. and tomorrow morning i have surgery to get my wisdom teeth pulled. i see that some people undergo rapid detoxification of opiates under general anesthesia but isnt that dagerous as well. i just want to make sure i wont have any complications during surgery.

your all good my girlfriend just got hers removed and didnt drink or eat the night before but did take oxycontin and ativan to help sleep the pain was unbearable she needs surgery on 6 teeth one was a broken tooth hollowed out and her thing went fine
