I am travelling to Bali for a week in March and am worried I will not be able to take my medication over. The website says to check if my prescribed medication is legal in the country I am travelling too. Is dexamphetamine legal in Bali?

It’s legalized speed, which you may run into problems with here. Even the guys at customs may not really know if it’s legal or not. Your best bet is to call the Indonesian embassy in your own country. Better yet, visit them. If they say it’s legal get it in writing from them, signed and stamped. Take that letter with you in case the customs guys try and get some lunch money from you.

Another option is to make sure you have a doctor’s letter, literally signed and stamped, which explains that your doctor has prescribed this for you and you must have it. And make sure that it is in the original prescription bottle with the same doctor’s name on it.

Worse comes to worse (without those letters), slip them a quick Rp.100.000 bill. They’ll more than likely forget they saw it.
