Adderall 10mg Before Bed?

Question by Jason: Adderall 10mg before bed?
Hi everyone!! I’m on a few psychotropic medications. I take a 30mg Adderall XR in the morning.

My doctor has instructed me to take 1-.5mg Adderall pill just before bed. I asked her if that was accurate and she said “yes’ that it was,but didn’t really get any explanation.

I’ve noticed that when I take vs. when I don’t take it my dreams are very vivid and when I don’t take it I experience horrible dreams and sleep and wake up with anxiety.
Sometimes it can be a mixture of both or one stronger than the other types of dreams. Very strange. I’m more interested in why at bedtime she has me taking this.

Aside from the dreams,does anyone have any kind of knowledge as to why the doctor would have me take amphetamine sulphate or Adderall at bedtime? What is the point of giving me a stimulant right before bed? Isn’t the point of Adderall to keep you wide awake and super focused…etc?

weird.. adderall is supposed to keep you awake and alert.
