Also i do have dual citizenship (US and CR) and have the CR workers insurance usually.

Both need persrciptions. If you are covered by the INS or the CCSS you can get the persrciptions free from one of their sites and get the medicine free as well. You will get a generic version of the adderall.

If you are not inscribed with INS of the Caja, go to a doctor that has a medicina mixta office. THese doctors in private practice can write perscriptions for the Caja pharmacies. They also charge a lot less for visits. You will have to register with the local branch of the caja to get the medicine free. Usually it is fast and not hard to do. You will need your cedula and some proof of residence, a paid phone bill is usually enough.

When you are here, establish an address and register with the Caja, its free, the medical attention is generally good and if you pick an area out of the San Jose area the service is reasonably prompt. If you can not spend the time with only the Caja, register and used the medicina mixta.
