Question by sassy39: what r some of the long term effects from methadone?
I am on methadone maintance and worry about things going wrong in my body as I get older from the use of this medication.This med saved my life, I do not forsee myself getting off the med.I would relapse immediatly.I know cuz I have tried and tried w/o it.w/o it makes me commit felonies.I know alot of people are very skeptical about this form of treatment,but it is cuz they are misinformed and simply does not understand opiate addiction.

Be careful with that stuff
Ive known people who became addicted to that instead of their drug of choice.
Make sure the program youre in keeps you monitored.
