Painkiller Addiction?

I’m really worried about my little sister, she is only 16 and has a lot to cope with at the moment, she is in the middle of exams and our dad is ill. She seems very depressed, I have tried to talk to her but no 16yr old wants to talk to their 24yr old sister- recently I found a stash of different painkillers in her room including my dads prescription only cediene, my mum says she is always taking paracetamol and ibruprofiene – are there any signs of this sort of addiction and what should / can i do?

Ma by if you talk to her,taking a lot of any kind of medicine is not good for her
