Question by cocoapuffsarecats: How to explain to my mom that a rave is not a drug party?
How do I do it?
I want to go to one (at a convention, at a hotel, 5 blocks from my house) but in the past she has called raves “drug parties” Im 16, if that matters.

The only thing I can think of is to assure her that there won’t be drugs there because of security. Of course chances are there won’t be anyway to convince her of it. Just assure her that you, and whoever you go with, won’t do any drugs.
