Is There Any Medication That Can Be Prescribed to to Ease the Symptoms of Meth Withdrawls?
My dad turned 52 this year and is in very poor health. He has had hepatitis c for 20+ years. In addition to that he has been a heavy (daily) meth user for 20+ years as well. He was told last week that he is in early signs of liver failure. He came to me yesterday and asked if I would help him detox and get clean. I have a vivid understanding of addiction and what is involved in quitting any addiction. He finally WANTS to quit. Anyway, I heard about medication that can be prescribed to curb symptom’s of with drawls. Is that true? What is it? Does anyone have any other suggestions for easing the initial with drawl symptoms?
What are some names of these types of medications?
