Would a Homeless Person Be Willing to Give Up Alcohol, Etc?

Question by Michael: Would a homeless person be willing to give up alcohol, etc?
If anyone were to say to a homeless person, who used cash only for alcohol or drugs, ” you can come work for me, and still sleep where you want, buy anything you want, but you must promise, on pain of losing the job, not to drink or use drugs, or commit a crime, with a zero tolerance policy,” would any such person accept this offer?
