I am not an ex addict. I am asking from a nursing perspective. I was wondering if an ex alcoholic had cough mixture with an alcohol base, could it set off a binge due to thiq being released in the breain? or an ex heroin addict using painkillers for severe pain which contained codeine or morphine, would this set a person off using again? is it an excuse? is it only a few that slip this way?

I think it could be a very big problem to give an addict drugs. It may be necessary, but…. you have to be really careful.
