Question by marm212: Why do people use laxatives to loose weight?
Ive heard of people “abusing” laxatives to loose weight. I’ve had to use laxatives on a few occasions because I get constipated alot, and laxatives are definitley NOT fun. So my question is, how do laxatives make people loose weight, and why would people purposely make themselves suffer through the cramps and what not of laxatives when they dont have to?

Laxatives can rid the body of excess water and waste. This waste add weigh to the stomach area. You can accomplish the same thing by fasting (not eating) for several days and drink plenty of water.
