I work for a doctor, and we see patients in an inner-city sort of environment. I’m used to patients asking for lots of painkillers, muscle relaxers, opiates, etc. But recently, lots of people have been asking for Keflex. My cynical mind has to wonder, what are they doing with it? As far as I know, there are no hallucinogenic or mind-altering properties of Keflex, but I’m wondering if it’s used to make some other sort of drug, like the way pseudoephedrine is used to make Meth. Anyone know what the deal is?
@Pregnant… I know Keflex is an antibiotic, but I was wondering if anyone knew if people used it to MAKE something else. Like pseudoephedrine is an ingredient in cold medicine; and therefore not illegal itself, but it is used to make meth.
