What Is Life Like Inside of an Institutional Alcoholism Treatment Facility?

Question by Confidential: What is life like inside of an institutional alcoholism treatment facility?
My father has been struggling with alcoholism for many years and has finally chosen to enter a residential treatment facility. Does anyone have any personal insight on what day to day life is like in the environment? It’s one of the more recognizable ones (academically), but he has some concerns on what spending time there is like.

He will be checking this answer forum as I posted it for him. If you are kind enough to offer some insight on the matter, I greatly appreciate it and admire your courage to share. Please only serious responses, this isn’t exactly a laughing matter.
