Question by kmm4864990: What is codependene and what is codependence NOT?
One day I was listening to loveline with Dr. Drew and Danny Bonaducci. Drew asked Danny what he looked for in a woman? Danny said he valued kindness the most in a woman. Drew then responded saying that Danny was codependent for holding kindness in higher esteem than any other virtue.
Also my mother throws the term around like candy even though she has very little education and can’t hold a job. I understand codependence as someone who allows another “loved one” to continue a drug/alcohol addiction by giving them money and allowing them to not have a job, etc.
Is my deifnition too strict?
