Yes, depression is a side effect of cocaine. Using it makes you feel elated and happy, feelings are intensified. After it wears off, the artificial happy feelings are gone, this can turn into depression. This is also why cocaine is so addictive. Most people want to continue that happy feeling so they do more and more cocaine to the point that they cannot achieve a happy feeling without it.
