What Are Some Good “educational” DVDs for Rebellious Teens?

Question by nashgirl21: What are some good “educational” DVDs for rebellious teens?
I work as a nurse on a detox unit for teens and I am looking for some new movies to show our kids. They can be strictly educational (i.e. a medical/chemical/disease informational DVD) or it can be a “cautionary tale”, such as a video about a rebellious teen or a Lifetime-type video about alcohol/drug use. ((I hope that makes sense.)) It would only be shown for one hour on Sunday evenings, but I’m just looking for more options.

In case it helps, we currently use videos such as “Crashed” (a real-life video about teens in DUI crashes put out by MADD), “Girl, Positive” (a Lifetime video about a teen with HIV), and a few Discovery Health videos about different diseases/etc. I’m hoping to find something that will teach the patients, but also keep them “entertained” so that they actually watch the video (and not dread it).

Thanks!!

I worked at a residential facility for teens, most of whom had abused drugs.
It was hard finding stuff for them to watch, but some of them actually got into some documentaries, none of them were about drugs because the movie approval process was too long. Although I did have a chat with one kid about how we both liked that show “Intervention” and how he was scared to try heroin after watching it.
