He earned his M. Phil. in Comparative Religion with emphasis on Buddhism at Florida International University, Miami, USA in April 2009. He also earned his Graduate Certificate in Asian Studies at Florida International University. Bhante earned his Certificate in Addiction Studies at Mount Royal College, Canada. Between August 2007 and April 2009, he was a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Religious Studies at Florida International University. Between 1994 and 1997, he was Lecturer of Pali and Buddhist Studies for foreign students at Kelaniya. Between 1997-1999 he was Lecturer of Pali and Buddhist Studies at Ren Ci Buddhist Institute in Singapore. In 1999, he moved to Los Angeles, USA, where he performed Buddhist missions until his …
