Red is the hottest of the warm colors. Studies show that red can have a physical effect, increasing the rate of respiration and raising blood pressure. Red is love, red is violence and warfare. Red is Cupid and the Devil.

Culture of Red:
Red is power, hence the red power tie for business people (ha ha, anyone notice President Obama wearing that red tie during his inaugural address?) and the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs. More can be found in www.about.com about the color red =)

It makes sense.

Touch, also called tactition or mechanoreception, is the sense of pressure perception, generally in the skin. There are a variety of pressure receptors that respond to variations in pressure (firm, brushing, sustained, etc).
The inability to feel anything or almost anything is called anesthesia. Paresthesia is a sensation of tingling, pricking, or numbness of a person’s skin with no apparent long-term physical effect.
