Most of us would like to think that the road from “sure I’ll try it” to “I need to keep doing it so that I can get out of bed in the morning” is long and winding. Unfortunately, not all drug addictions develop slowly. Physically speaking, the nature of drug addiction is fairly straightforward. Emotionally, however, drug addition is the murkiest of waters. What causes drug addiction? How does drug addiction work? Because they are programed in some way to automatically think about alcohol or drugs to make themselves feel better.

Alcohol addiction is a serious disease. Not only can alcohol addiction tear a family apart and lead to financial ruin, it can also lead to the premature death of the alcoholic. Therefore, it is vital for person suffering from this disease to find help immediately. Without help, it is nearly impossible for a person with an alcohol addiction to recover and return to a normal, healthy life.
