This is a public service announcement a group of high school students from Akins High School in Austin, TX, made for Speak Up Speak Out, a civic awareness project created by The University of Texas that gives high school students a chance to express themselves about issues that are affecting their community. Their presentation was about prescription drug abuse among teenagers. They took first place in the competition! They’re trying to bring awareness to this issue, so leave a comment! Thanks. Tamani is a Short movie story with reference to the lives of a bunch of teenage boys who live with crime and drug abuse in the slums. Tamani highlights negative consecuences of drug abuse and crime and advocates for positive change of slum youth.
