Since It’s an Election Year, What Do You Think?

Question by Oswin: Since it’s an election year, what do you think?
I found this on my hard drive – it’s a transcript of a yahoo message from June of 2004 – back when you could actually post messages and discuss stuff on Yahoo.

Looking for input, from either side of the fence. No views will be down-graded, no matter how much I disagree with them.

“I met a Neocon at the Airport today.

The neocon said that being a drug addict is a moral failing and
a crime.

“Like Rush?”, I asked.

“No, no, no,” the Neocon answered. “Rush has an illness and
needs our prayers for his recovery.”

The Neocon continued to rant. “The United States didn’t need
to listen to the United Nations before invading Iraq.”

“We should get out of Iraq”, I countered.

“No, no, no,” the Neocon answered, “We are in Iraq because
our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions.”

“Like the U.N. Resolutions against Israel?”, I queried.

“No, no, Israel is our ally and we need them.” he said.
