Should Teens Be “deprogrammed”?

Question by Jo: Should teens be “deprogrammed”?
When parents claim that a child has been “alienated” (when a parent poisons their mind), the judge can send them — alone — to a deprogramming center or a reunification center.

The teens can be sent in police cars, can be handcuffed, and go alone to be “deprogrammed.”

Costs are as much as $ 40,000 for 4 days at Warshak’s center.

There are no studies to prove the effectiveness of this process and it resembles how they deprgram those in a cult.

There is evidence (Silverman at Harvard U) that abusers counter claims of abuse with parental alienation (because you cannot differentiate between alienation and child abuse – the child will exhibit similar signs). So…some of these kids are being sent to reunify with an abuser or being deprogrammed to love the abuser. Meanwhile, the parent that alleged abuse is not able to see/visit the child.

Should children be deprogrammed? What are your thoughts on this controversial “treatment”?

Here are excerpts:
Treatment at the clinic – founded by Richard Warshak – involves isolating a child from the parent who is identified as having poisoned his or her emotions toward the other parent. Therapists then attempt to undo the child’s hostile feelings.”

Yes children should be “deprogrammed” because not all men are abusers and evil, as you want to make us believe. There are many legitimate cases where women use the children to try and hurt the ex husband, without contempt of how it affects the children. Some woman scorned has no problem to deny her children the father even it means she cries herself to sleep every night over missing him.

Trevor only time you saw nationalism and streets full of flags was in history books dealing with nazism, now you see the same in America. Its just subconscious. You dont get shot for being gay for example, so thats a plus over nazism.
