Q&A: Who Is Bill Simmons Talking About?

Question by wkaplan888: Who is Bill Simmons talking about?
On page 143 in his book, talking about players who used cocaine in the early 80’s, Simmons writes:
“…John Lucas, Barnes, Bernard King, Eddie Johnson-and we’ll always wonder about some of the others (including one of the era’s biggest stars; someone who became infamous in NBA circles for his surreal ability to thrive even after using cocaine).”

Who is he referring to?

I don’t know, but I hate Bill Simmons, because he is so bias and he never admits how good the Lakers are.
