Question by Mr. Pacific Northwest: Is it Safe to Consume Alcohol While Taking Depakote?
Anybody take Dapakote or has a relative or something that takes it? Do you know if it is safe to drink while on it? Does it have any ramifications? All I know is that on the bottle, it says “Side Effects: May Cause Drowsiness. Alcohol May Intensify This Effect.”

No it’s not safe to drink on this type of medication, or any medication for that matter.
