Council in the RM of Springfield voted down a proposal Monday night to build an addictions treatment centre near the Tinkertown amusement park.

Addictions Council takes treatment centre proposal off the table
Plans for an addictions treatment centre near Tinkertown and Fun Mountain have been yanked. In a surprise move, the Native Addictions Council of Manitoba pulled the plans off the table early Tuesday morning at a marathon meeting of the R.M. of Springfield council.
