I donated blood on Monday. I normally have no issues giving blood but my vein was being uncooperative. A few needle adjustments later, I’d come to the conclusion that I never want to do this again. You can still see the hole!

Watching the evolution of the bruise has been fun, though. At first it looked like I had been tasered. Yesterday I looked like heroin user. Today it’s starting to look like I got punched on the forearm by a very large fist.

Bryant Park

Bryant Park is a beautiful park situated in midtown and is the lunch & rest spot for many Manhattanites. It’s hard to believe that in the 1970s, it was called "Needle Park" because of all the drug dealers, prostitutes, and heroin users inhabiting it.

Then, in the early 1980s, the advocacy group Parks Council began a program of activities and attractions to improve the safety and appeal of the park. It was later succeeded by The Bryant Park Restoration Corporation. As recently as 1992, it was reopened to the public with much enthusiasm. It even features free wifi!

some technicians just can’t find a vein, though it doesn’t help that mine suck. but then they stick you 5 million times and pierce veins, etc and you end up looking like a heroin user.
