this poem is about a couple addicted to crystal meth. its from the girl’s point of view, let me know what you think.

“Crystal’s Methods”

we’ve lived in your car for a year
my toes have been icicles
and they’ve been desert sand
you’ve kept me blissfully trapped
because you keep handing it to me
and my hands keep reaching out
and taking it from you
although i want to stop them
i want to shove it in your face
and how would THAT make you feal?
because your emotions are important to my health
instead i light it and inhale
knowing resisting is painful
withdrawel is unbearable
and curling up with my blanket in the passanger’s seat
with my head floating
is easier
but i dream
half-heartedly of course
of breaking out
of where i would go
of what i would eat
and leaving you here with Crystal
your lover
your friend
not to mention
your boss.

by the way, this was inspired by a couple i actually saw sitting in their car outside a waffle house at 3:00 A.M. now, i doubt they are actually meth heads, but it’s just the idea that popped into my crazy head for some reason.

Last few lines by far the best =) i actaully painted a picture in my head while reading it
