This is how I felt today. I did no substance abuse for a while, I have OCD. Could this be some kind of anxiety or something?
It was just alcohol. I stopped drinking as much because I kinda realized I came from a family of alcoholics and I was potentially going to pick up the habit.
No. They decided I could learn to cope with it with out medications. And I did.

Are you taking anything for your OCD?

When you say “substance abuse”, how bad was it? And did you just go cold turkey when you were off it?

I ask these questions because this would really say a lot about this anxiety.

I suggest you visit a hospital if it’s really debilitating. I’m no health expert (yet) but it does sound like anxiety. Anxiety usually isn’t a side effect of OCD medication, but it may be an adverse effect from being off whatever you were on. If anything, I would assume it’s more of the latter.
