Paws for Promise
Paws for Promise – This program serves as a link between animal shelters and drug rehabilitation programs. The goal is the holistically treat the patient and animal through allowing drug rehabilitation patients to foster and train an at-risk shelter dog. This will allow the dog to become more adoptable and work in service and/or therapy and/or make the ideal pet.

Dennis Daugaard and Supreme Court Chief Justice David Gilbertson have urged lawmakers to approve the proposals that include expansion of programs that keep drug and alcohol offenders out of prison by placing them in intensive treatment programs.
