Palin’s Email Hacked

www.EmploymentCrossing.com Hackers gained access to the Yahoo account of Republican vice presidential Candidate Sarah Palin Wednesday, and posted its contents on the Internet. The media have been investigating rumors that Palin used her private email account to conduct official business, in an alleged attempt to evade scrutiny. The McCain campaign called the prank a shocking invasion of privacy. Both the FBI and the Secret Service are launching investigations. The hackers revealed an email exchange between Palin and Alaska Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell about his campaign for Congress; as well as the text of an email from Amy McCorkell, whom Palin appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse in 2007. Andrée McLeod, an Alaskan activist who had previously filed a Freedom of Information Act Request to see Palins private emails, said today that the governor should have known better than to conduct state business using an unsecured account. “If this woman is so careless as to conduct state business on a private e-mail account that has been hacked into, what in the world is she going to do when she has access to information that is vital to our national security interests?” Both Yahoo accounts have been deleted.
