Meth is short for methamphetamine btw. Most urine tests …tests for amphetamines, cocaine metabolites, marijuana metabolites, opiate metabolites, and PCP along with a few other select drugs. So, if he took oxycodone…hg should have had a positive for an opiate (unless his body has already metabolized it leaving it undetected).
He probably got a positive for an amphetamine. This could have been done by him taking a substance such as Adderall.
Oxycodone would not cause a false positive for amphetamines.
“These drugs could possibly cause a false positive for amphetamines: Ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, selegiline, trazodone, buproprion, desipramine, amantadine, and ranitidine.” – Last paragraph taken from “The Medical Letter”, August 19, 2002
