Residents speak out on homeless shelter
City council members heard from residents this week who support the proposed VA homeless veterans project and say the city should, too. There was no discussion about the project posted on the city council’s agenda, and the residents spoke during the public comment portion of the meeting.

Opiate deaths up 400 percent in Larimer County
LARIMER COUNTY – Residents have been dying due to drug overdoses in increasingly larger numbers during the past decade. And since 2007, the most fatal drugs have been prescription opiates, which include many common painkillers.
