Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness 3d Visualization (Drug States and NDE)

This 3d visualization was created from 4500 first-hand descriptions of drug experiences from the erowid.org drug experience vault and 200 descriptions of the near death experiences. Terms that are closer together are related with the colored groups. How this was made: Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) was applied to the descriptions to discover connections between the states of consciousness. All drug specific words were removed (ie. bong, cannabis, joint, weed, etc.) so that as much as possible the direct experience itself is being compared. The 3d visualization is showing dimensions 2, 3, and 4 of the semantic space. R! Statistical package using package lsa, tm and rgl were used.
