Crystal Ice

Crystal Ice is a dance crew from Dundalk, whose members have trained in various styles of dance. They have worked with choreographers and artists such as: JLS, Tony Stone, Kymberlee Jay, Marty Kedulka, Eddie Morales, Nick Bass, Desire and Taio Cruz.

This is a fairy made from a photograph of Anna May Wong, an early star from silent movies. I’ve digitally colored her, and created some wings. The fairy is surrounded by artificial tree branches that have crystal ice on the ends. It’s decorated with black ribbons and a couple small silver medallions — one with a butterfly, one with a heart. The medallions are engraved with the words Joy and Love.

Freezing water

Initial nucleus of freezing water. Water molecules are drawn with ball and sticks. Hydrogen bondings are shown with cylinders whose brightness indicates the lifetime since it appears; i.e. bright cluster at upper-right indicates the long-living ice-like (actually amorphous ice) nucleus, which is going to be the crystal ice.
