Need Help With Suboxone Withdraws?
Question by fatema_97502: Need help with Suboxone withdraws?
I had been taking Vicodins for 3 years, I wanted to get off of them, so I quite taking them one day, and Boy did I ever get sick! You know the no sleeping, the diarrhea and the worst leg pain I had ever had before! So I found a doctor who prescribed me Suboxone. I didn’t want to take them, but she informed me that they would help me with the withdraws. So I started taking them 9 months ago. My doctor never told me that they are also addictive! Now I’m scared and dint know what to do. She just told me last week that I would be on them forever! I was stunned and in so much shock . All I have done is switched drugs! I tried stopping them cold turkey, but again the withdraws are just as bad! I have looked into the Ultra Rapid Detox, has anyone gone through this type of treatment? If so what can you tell me about it. I have heard once you wake up you have no withdraws at all, then I have heard the opposite. So I’m asking anyone for there advise to see if they know.
I feel like my doctor had lied to me, about the suboxone, I have asked her about me trying to tapper off so I can get off of them, and she said NO you need to stay on them for the rest of your life! She wants to up the amount I take, she calls it a Maintenance dosage. I take 1/2 tab daily, she wants me to start taking 3 tabs.
I think my doctor is just a drug pusher herself!

Went from 16 mg daily down to 8 mg for 3 days then 4 mg for 5 days then 2 mg for 5 days then jumped off completely. Alone and pill free, it was the hardest week of my life. Being a single mother and trying to come off this was hell. Let me tell you what helped me the most. I went to the health food store and told them the TRUTH. They were extremely helpful and understanding and recommended a natural remedy with St. Johns Wart to restore serotonine levels in your brain. This chemical imbalance is the real reason we all feel so bad. Anyway, started taking the natural mood enhancer on day 2 of withdrawel. They also suggested some herbal detox tea and chamomile for night. Did it. Now, although I am not going to sugar coat anything, I made it. It was hard but after about day 5 I started to feel the effects of the mood enhancer and realized that hey..I was starting to smile again. To any of you out there reading this…you can do it!!! You can make it through this hell and let yourself out of your own self made prison!!! Just remember that there is a life on the other side and it IS better than the daily pill searching, withdrawal. You will feel like a human again and will be able to look someone in the eyes…..something I couldn’t do for over 10 years. Hang in there. My detox off suboxone took about 9-10 days after only 4 months of usage. Check iwth your medical povider as everyone is different and you should not stop your meds or change them without doctor approval.
