Hiya,
I’m 19 and putting together a presentation on eating disorders and anorexia for my psychology course..
One section is going to be on diet and exercise pills.. I have a alot of information on the pills that ARE available in the UK…but there really isn’t very much info on illegal pills or pills that are available in places like America…
If there is anybody that knows about any pills that I could talk about or any websites that I could get info from I would be really helpful, I’m really struggling here! lol!

Normally I tell people to “do the research” yourself but sometimes certain material is not readily available. Most legal and illegal appetite suppressants I know of come from the “amphetamine” drug class. When I was growing up in the late 60’s-70’s dexedrine a.k.a. “dexies or black beauties” were the most potent amphetamine for legal then illegal use. In the USA a popular nasal decongestant has been moved from the aisles of pharmacies to pharmacist control as the active ingredient pseudoephedrine HCL is the base for crystal meth production. These drugs stimulate the system curbing appetite in users.
When I was in the USAF working in the flight surgeon’s office with pilots and other aircrew personnel we oversaw a program for the use of amphetamines for fliers. They were given when on long, bombing missions when they were on “alert” status during the height of the Cold War. We then prescribed barbiturates (Seconal, Nembutal, Tuinal) to help them sleep after missions. This practice is probably still in use today in war zones.
